He said that, " I cant believe that Allah will hate those beutiful things which he bestowed, i.e. music and paintings."...This is not kufr my dear.
It is well known thing that everything created by Allah is not bad in itself....that's why everything say Tasbeeh...The good and evil are relative things....some time a good become evil from a certain point of view and some time a bad become good from a certain point.
Our elders and soofiya-e-kiram taught us that being a muslim we should hate the kufr and the sins but not the kafirs and the sinners....
Allah created everything, if he hates the pig than he would never create it.
If someone says that Allah does not hate music and paintings, he is not kafir just for this sentence....music is allowed with some conditions, and not allowed due to some other conditions, same for paintings.
Let me quote an interesting thing from Molana Ashraf Ali Thanawi (A prominent figure from the same Deoband school of thought)...In his book Tarbiat-us-Salik, one of his mereeds wrote him about his state that:
Mureed : " Huzoor, nowadays i am in a very strange state, I dont hate anything for itself, i feel love for everything, when i see a pig or dog i want to kiss them because they are created by my Allah. "
