3p0, 3point0 is pronounced three point oh. We are an experimental alternative rock band who believe in using our music as a means of communication. We sing in Urdu.
Episode One:
There are three major Semitic˚religions in the world today: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. At least two of these are major missionary religions.
Episode Two:
All three claim to know the way to salvation, the way to enlightenment, the way to 'their' God. In fact their God is the same. The God of the downtrodden. The God of the poor. The God who stands for justice. The God that is kind and merciful. They, despite their differences, point to the same God. Three point to one.
Episode Three:
And yet, the world today is a worse off place than ever before because these three religions today neglect to focus on the singular largest issue of justice for all. They thus lose sight of the divine God that sent all of them down. They lose the path to enlightenment. They lose that one God.
Three then point to zero. 3 point to 0. 3p0.
3p0 people come from Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi.
Zain (left most in the photo below) is the brillinat lead player. He is left handed but plays a right handed guitar. Youthful, funny and full of passion for music! The only other thing on his plate in life is his craze for computer gaming. He'll kick your backside at MOHAA any day (well at least he whips Sabqat easily enough [;P]
Danish, who thinks God made life so we could eat, is the piano guy. Killer wit with a heart bigger than his appetite! Pizza parlours all over Lahore know him by name! He has now moved to Dubai, leaving a void so huge in his wake (no no...this is not pun at his voluptuousness...we're serious) that the band is shattered []
Sabqat, who's constantly shifting between his sulking (because "I am sensitive") and hyper energy modes, writes most of the band's music and thus forces the others to let him sing. He wants to bring about a 'revolution from his bed' (he's lazy [:P]), hence the band's activism.
Farhad (aka Freddy), is sophistication personified. He has played with the likes of Ali Hamza and Gumby (Noori). No-nonsense guy. Can order a plate of channas at a roadside dhaba and make it sound like he's ordering escargots at a fancy French restaurant. He with his bass give the band its groove.
