WTH!!! Pakistan bowling is overrated says England
http://in.m.yahoo.com/w/ynews/articl...in&.lang=en-in
Collingwood said Australia's bowlers were the world's best as he played down the hype ahead of England's four-test series with ahead of England's four-test series with Pakistan starting at Trent Bridge on Thursday. Pakistan starting at Trent Bridge on Thursday."I think they (Pakistan's bowlers) have got a ot of talent but to say they are the number one pace attack in the world is probably over the mark," he told reporters at England's training base at Loughborough University on Tuesday."They have played in conditions recently where it (the ball) has done a fair bit. Australia for me are still a very, very strong bowling attack,
They have got skill and we need to be careful but I think we can handle whatever they but I think we can handle whatever they throw at us."When India came over (in 2007) and used the Dukes ball they probably surprised us at that time with the amount of swing they were getting, so they (Pakistan) are going to pose similar questions. Hopefully, we are better prepared this time round"We don't want to go overboard that these guys are the best thing since sliced bread, or Wasim Akram. We have seen that they have got a lot of skill but if we can get through those periods where it can be really tricky, we can get on top of them." They are the kind of words that will either come back to haunt Collingwood or show him to be a perceptive voice.

He's right actually. One Test does not make you the best bowling attack in the world. South Africa have a good attack and so do Australia.
The talent is there for Pakistan to have the best attack they just need to keep on bowling well in future Test matches.

Best way to answer him and anyone in their side is by actually beating them...i still think SA has best attack in the world. Our bowling is better than england but our batsman will make their bowler look like mcgrath n wasim of this decade

they should bring back younis n yousuf man. they r talented players and have served the country for a while. why we do injustice to our cricketers?

Pakistan is only team which bowled Aussies out for 123 & 88 in 2 consecutive series.....When SA played Aus, the lowest ttoal they bowled out Aus was 207 in SA.....Steyn & Morkel are overrated....

to say thyings about current pakistani bowlers is understood.....but then to inculde wasim akram in the same overrated group is pure stupid and baised inmy opinoin.
The fact they could never and never will ever posses the talent skills and brains to produce a bowler like wasim akram...gives the excuse to talk rubbish about wasim as well..
wasim and waqar powned these pansies !

That's not what Collingwood said. He's actually rating Akram as a benchmark (highest scale). His point is that it's too soon to say these three can be as devastating consistently as Wasim Akram in his time. So he must think very highly of Akram. Who wouldn't?
And by the way, 'over-rated' doesn't mean 'being bad'. He just said that while Pakistani bowlers are good it's too soon to claim that they are the best bowling attack. Sounds like a reasonable statement, but of course it gave CricInfo an opportunity to put attention grabbing headline.

okay. yeah i read it again. my mistake.....but i am not bothered about the current pakistani bowler anyways ...they are not that special as waqar and wasim...and i don't think we are ever gonna get bowlers of that caliber...
