President to hold reception for cricket team today

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari will hold a reception for the national cricket team here on Thursday afternoon (today) to celebrate the team’s victory in the ICC Twenty 20 World Cup. Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka in the final by 8 wickets at Lord’s on Sunday to lift the coveted trophy. President will also give cash awards to the members of the team. Captain Younis Khan and all-rounder Shahid Afridi will get Rs 10,00,000 each while the remaining members of the squad will pocket Rs 500,000 each.
