Latest video on the block
After launching their debut album, Sajid and Zeeshan are back with a brand new video, 'Have to Let Go Sometime'. The fact that the song is relatively fast paced compliments the graphical nature of the video and after 'King of Self', 'Freestyle Dive' and 'My Happiness', this Peshawari duo once again impresses with another great track. Sajid Ghafoor shows that not only can he sing in English but that he has command over the language and sings in just the right key and tone with perfect authority over words. There are few directors out there who can make a simple performance into an interesting video and Zeeshan Parwez is definitely one of them. One of the unique aspects of the video is the addition of German sub titles – hey how many people do they think read German in Pakistan, anyway? Zeeshan Parwez smiles as he comments, "I don't expect anyone to understand the subtitles. I've been inspired by a lot of east European videos of the eighties. We live in a subtitles culture. There are so many times that you get a DVD and they have all sorts of weird subtitles running. That's where the idea came from." Instep also spoke to Sajid Ghafoor about the subtitles in the video and he said, "There was a time that only German films were available in the market. That inspired German subtitles for this video." Now whether or not you understand German, you only need to know your English to enjoy this track!

I had never listened to this song before, and it's excellent. Love it. Just like the article posted by Ghoom mentioned, Sajid does have a great command of the English language, if you just listened to the song without knowing anything about it you would think the singer is American. The video's nice, very 80s as they said.

i met sajid and zeeshan at the launch of their album and personally congradulated them and encouraged them, told them that when i started my career people did not want to accept the new kind of music. but as i kept going, build the taste in them in pakistan and finally they fell in love with it and rest is history. i told them they will do the same thing but this time making people in pakistan and all over the world to buy pakistani english singer's album too. sajid and zeeshan will make history. god bless them.

Jee Alamgir Sahab, but only drawback I see is them not selling well in Pakistan. I hope they release their material in the west as well. Don't know why their music videos aren't being played on Angraizi music channels. someone should tell them to do so.

This was so reminiscent of videos from the 80s. Great idea turning a simple performance video into something so stylized. I notice that ZP has been using it for some time now ... first the Visaal song 'Noor-e-Aa', then 'Kaali Raatein' by Irtaash, followed by Mekaal Hasan's 'Jhok Ranjhan' & 'Andholan' and now one of their own. But, no comparison between either one of them. Maybe Jhok Ranjhan & Andholan share some features, but the others all look different.
These two certainly have an uphill task on their hands, convincing english-speaking/understanding listeners to listen to their music. I'm sure if our educated youth can listen to the english pop/rock/rap/r&b being imported from the US & UK, they should be able to enjoy SJ&ZP.

i think they'll have to advertise themselves in the west first n have some live performances. that can be a way to get on western channels.
they do deserve to get larger audiences though.
